Delicious! Absolutely perfect pizza after a hard hike in the Shenandoah park. I‘ll generally seek out DOP style pizza whenever I can and this is a good option. Will come again. Pear and prosciutto was especially good, if you’re looking for something slightly “adventurous” but the classics are all here. The chicken parm pizza is especially worthy of calling out. One of our pizza was a fraction overdone cooking wise but was still pretty tasty.

We waited all week for Rappahannock Pizza Kitchen to open on Friday and it was worth the wait. The pizza had an excellent crust with a good sauce texture and taste. It wasn't too sweet and complimented the crust very well. One pizza will serve two people if they have a salad. The beer selection was very good and our server Jordan was excellent. We look forward to going here again when we are in Sperryville.

Service: We were quickly seated on a busy Sunday afternoon. Waitress checked in throughout our meal and was super friendly Venue: Beautiful and clean restaurant Food: Cheesy bread was good- comes out looking like a pizza of its own. The pizza we ordered was the “not a margherita” one. Though the flavors were great, I felt like it was too much tomato sauce and too little mozzarella and herbs. Price: Very fair given that it’s one of the few restaurants on the way in/out of Shenandoah national park Verdict: 4.5 stars. Nice staff, clean restaurant. Pizza could be just a little bit better

Finally made it out to check out the pizza and it was as good as I was hoping. We drove out on a rainy Saturday for lunch. Though it was busy, we were able to get a seat right away. Service was quick and the waitress was really great. I kept it pretty basic with the cheese pizza, but added the sausage. My wife got the Hog in the Hive, but skipped the hot peppers. What's nice is we were able to get the special pizza as the 8" even though it wasn't listed for that size. I also decided later to get the Potter's Grapefruit Hibiscus cider. The pizzas came out quickly. The crust is nice and thin, though you need to give a little fold for structural integrity purposes. I'd have liked if the outer edge of crust puffed up a bit more, but if it's homemade dough, you sometimes can get inconsistent rise or even if the temp is a little off in the oven (being really particular here .) Didn't take away from the great flavor of everything. We already want to head back to try out their other pizza.

Soooo good. Love the arrabiata pasta!!! Pizza was bomb, we ordered the rpk pepperoni and the only thing I wanted was a little more pepperoni and onions, still so good though. Definitely try a side of the rpk pesto!!! Soooo good. Also the country store has so much to offer. Will definitely return!!!

After a long hike on Old Rag, we stumbled into Rappahannock Pizza Kitchen expecting just a quick bite — instead, we found one of the best meals we’ve had in a while. Coming from NYC and having tried countless Italian restaurants (many charging 50 per person), I didn’t expect a small-town pizzeria to completely blow me away. The margherita pizza with mushrooms was phenomenal — not your textbook Neapolitan with airy crust, but something more rustic and satisfying. The crust had the perfect char and chew, the cheese melted beautifully, the mushrooms were silky, and the fresh basil was deeply fragrant. It’s the kind of pizza you can’t stop eating. The meatballs were clearly house-made: tender, flavorful, paired with a tomato sauce so sweet and tomato-y. The arrabbiata pasta was hand-cut, with just the right heat and a creamy kick — simple but so well executed. But the real surprise was the Beale’s Gold Lager. I don’t even like beer usually, but this was extraordinary — light, fruity, clean, slightly sweet with zero bitterness, and a refreshingly smooth aftertaste. It didn’t have the heaviness or gluten-forward finish that turns me off most beers. It was so good, I finished the whole glass and wished I had another. And then there’s the service. In NYC, service can be polished but impersonal. Here, it’s the real deal — warm, genuine smiles, no pretense, just people who are happy to see you and proud of what they serve. The open kitchen, high ceilings, and reclaimed wood give the space a cozy yet airy charm that matches the vibe perfectly. And the prices are incredibly reasonable. A margherita pizza in NYC runs 18–22; here, it’s 10–13 — and better. We devoured every last bite. No leftovers, no regrets.

This place surpassed my expectations. We stopped in Sperryville for lunch, as we were staying at an inn nearby. I swear this is one of the best pizzas I’ve had, and I’ve traveled to Italy and lived in NY. Every ingredient was SO fresh. The caprese and meatballs were excellent as well. Highly recommend making a stop here! The corner store attached to the pizza shop is also adorable and had delicious fresh breads. We picked up a rosemary loaf on our way out.

Excellent pizza. I particularly loved the sauce and the smokey and crisp oven fired crust. Better than most fancier places in DC. I started with the blue cheese and cranberry salad. The butter lettuce was awesome and the dressing was creamy and tart and well balanced with the sweeter dried cranberries. I got the veggie pizza and loaded it with the crushed pepper, which was perfect for me. I didn't drink alcohol that night but I loved that they had Great Lakes Christmas Ale and Port City. The service was friendly and fast. The ambiance was great for post hike friends or for dates. The corner store next door was a nice place to grab some snacks too. Loved it and excited to bring friends next time.
